The first official day of summer is just around the corner and if you are looking for a good read to enjoy during a little down-time here's my recommendation: "Gift From the Sea" by Anne Morrow Lindbergh.
During a short stay in a cottage by the sea, Anne, a mother of five children and wife of aviator Charles Lindbergh, tackles timeless topics such as simplicity, marriage, and tending to your soul while meeting the demands of others. Her words are beautiful, simple, thought provoking.
Written almost 60 years ago, I was surprised to find Lindbergh had the words I have been searching for to explain my dilemma with social networks - she says this about the dangers of being stretched too thin:

This book is full of stimulating thoughts - a great cure for "mommy-brain" or anyone who needs a deep breath. It is a timeless read that I will be adding to my bookshelf because it is sure to keep giving with each visit, just as the sea.
